Toyota Expedites Exit from IRL IndyCar Series
Toyota will not return to Indy Racing Leagues (IRL) for the 2006 season it was announced today. Toyota had originally planned to withdraw from open-wheel racing following the 2006 season but that decision was expedited one year to allow the IRL to move to a common engine for the upcoming season.

Jarno Trulli says while his first choice is to re-sign with Toyota, he's not about to wait around and let a good opportunity pass him by while the Japanese manufacturer considers his future.

This 1958 Toyota Land Cruiser 20 Series was among the first batch of Land Cruisers introduced in the United States. In 1960 it was replaced by the 40 Series. The 1961-1965 Land Cruiser 40 Series was the best-selling Toyota in the United States and in 1968 Toyota sold its 100 000th Land Cruiser.
