Hero Honda Dec domestic sales up 6% (Business Standard India)
Hero Honda today reported a 6.02% increase in domestic sales at 2,38,822 units in December 2005 as against 2,25,250 units in December 2004. According to information available on the company website, exports increased 14.19% to 6,282 units in December 2005 from 5,501 units in the year-ago period.

At last count, Honda offers nearly 40 varieties of the 2005 Honda Civic. It's a perennial best-buy, and with the Ford Focus and Toyota Corolla, the Civic is one of the most visible vehicles on the road today. And there's little argument Civic's popularity isn't warranted. Honda has capitalized on the compact car's success by presenting three body styles and the notable options of a gas/electric hybrid and two-door hatchback. But does Honda really need another option in the Civic line?

As Honda's entry level, subcompact vehicle, what's not to like about the Civic? As an ideal example of getting what you pay for, the 2004 Civic includes almost 40 style options - 2-door to 4-door to hatchback, gas to hybrid and 5-speed manual to automatic.
